Bristol buzz-Fashion like no other.
Recently I have noticed due to my daily walks from Bristol Temples and back again, that individuals in Bristol really do have very good fashion sense! There is such a wide variety of groups within Bristol who each have their own individual take on fashion. Can you truthfully define fashion? Is it something that everyone posses deep inside? Is it an interest? Is it something the media is forcing people to have? All of these questions could apply to the reason as to why fashion is such a popular topic within society. I have been impressed day by day from the level of fashion all people I see on my commute. There is so much individuality which people expresses through their style, it makes it impossible to not stop and ask "where did you get that skirt from?!" With an increasing amount of people making their own clothes or merely transforming one peice into something completely different, fashion is becoming something much more personal than the trends shown on the catwalk. There has been a huge amount of vintage promotion in Bristol recently with fairs from Affordable vintages that happened last weekend at the Paintworks and The Vintage Kilo sale in March, I have increasingly noticed people in vintage shirts (read my other blog post for more information) in and around my typical area! This newly recognised vintage craze has reached a much wider audience and now I see people who I would have never expected to wear vintage clothing... Wearing it! These fairs act as a perfect opportunity to gain a variety in your wardrobe whilst keeping in the height of fashion! It honestly makes my day when I see people that are dressed nicely and I am always inquisitive as to where they have brought their gorgeous items from, so do you want to make someone smile? Then make sure you have picked a killer outfit because you never know when you may meet Dolce and Gabanna on the street!
